Kupwara, July 08 (KNO): Police on Wednesday registered a case against three persons for manhandling and abusing a doctor at his residence in Karnah area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that three local attendants, who visited a doctor on Tuesday evening abused a doctor, posted at Public Health Center (PHC) Gabara and also tried to overpower him. A short video surfaced on Tuesday in which a doctor and attendants can be seen engaging in a duel at doctor’s residence. In the video, one of the attendants can also be heard abusing the doctors and trying to overpower him. Station House Officer (SHO) Karnah, Waseem Ahmad told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a case under relevant sections has been registered against the three persons for the criminal offense. He said a case under FIR number 51/2020 under sections 447 (Criminal trespass), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (Criminal intimidation) has been registered against three persons, who have been identified as Shafayat Bashir, Saboor and Khawaja Khushall. Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karnah, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-din told KNO that an enquiry committee has been constituted to probe the entire incident and the team has been directed to file the report in five days. “Tehsildar along with four other members will enquire the whole matter and submit the report,” Dr. Bilal said—(KNO)
